Homework: Listen for phrases that we can then utilized in an exercize on Sunday. Short, simple sentences will work best, but just jot down anything that catches your interest. As always, keep an eye out for interesting people that you can bring to class as characters. Show Discussion: I would like to arrange a date when all my students can see a show put on by another improv group, in order to open a dialogue about what we see, what we are doing, and what we would like to do/avoid in our own work. (Basically, what direction are we heading?) The most likely group in town is Theatre Strike Force. I will be contacting their president to see the possibility of scheduling a performance for our group. I am also looking for input, would you like to see a short form show (like what we do) or a long -form performance (if I can arrange it) or both? I will probably try to schedule it for Sunday evening, during our regularly scheduled class, once I find a suitable venue. I welcome any suggestions regarding time, location, and what type of show you'd like to see. |
