Toll House Cookies - Double Batch

SIFT TOGETHER:
2 ¼ cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
COMBINE:
1 cup softened butter or margarine
¾ cups granulated sugar
¾ cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. water
2 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts
2 cups chocolate chips |
Beat shorting, sugars, vanilla and water until creamy. Add two eggs.
Add flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in tow cups semi-sweet morsels and 1-cup
coarsely chopped nuts. Drop by well-rounded half tsp. onto greased cookie
sheets. Bake at 375 F for 10 – 12 minutes.
