Dayna's Delectable Fudge
(aka Hershey's Fudge Recipe)
 
Ingredients:
3/4 cup of evaporated milk
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
2 1/4 cups of sugar
1 3/4 (7 oz jar) Marshmallow creme
2 cups (11.5 oz Pkg.) Milk chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions
1. Line 9-inch square pan with foil.
2. In heavy 3 quart saucepan, combine evaporated milk, butter, sugar and marshmallow creme. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a rolling boil; boil and stir 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Immediately add chips and vanilla, stirring until smooth. Stir in nuts, if desired. Pour into prepared pan.
3. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm. Remove from pan; place on cutting board. Peel off foil; cut into squares. About 5 dozen pieces.

NOTE: for best results, do not double this recipe.
