MIX TOGETHER THOROUGHLY
1/2 cups soft shortening
½ cups peanut better
½ cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
SIFT TOGETHER AND STIR IN TO ABOVE INDIGENTS
1 ¼ cup sifted flour
½ tsp. baking powder
¾ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. Salt

| Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of
large walnuts. Place 3 “ apart on greased baking sheet. Flatten with fork
dipped in flour; crisscross. Bake until set but not hard, about 10 – 12
minutes at 375 F. |
