3 sticks of butter softened
3 cups of sugar
6 large eggs
3 cups of sifted self-rising flour
dash of salt (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla
1 8 oz. package of cream cheese, room temperature

Recipe requires a mixer.

Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar together until fluffy
Add salt and vanilla. Beat well.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
Stir in flour on low speed, mix well.
Spoon into a greased 10 inch tube or bundt pan.
Bake at 350 for one hour or until cake is done.
