WRITINGS

Elegy  (atomic; elegy; compunction; hook)

In my elegy to you
I will not speak of our bad times
Or the bad side that sometimes showed through
I will not speak of the times we both sat
Back to back
Walling in our compunction
I will not speak of the time you spent with me, alone
I will not tell of the lessons you gave me of life
And how your creativeness and craziness caught me hook, line and sinker
I will not speak of the love we shared
But I will tell of how nice you were
And how smart
And how the world was a better place with you in it
And all those things that are respectful to say of the dead
But I will not tell of the atomic bomb your
Death set off in my head and heart.
