WRITINGS

When God Calls   (hest; correction; vasoactive; lick)

When I receive
That great call
The final hest
Biggest of all

I will go away
With not a question
I’ll know my orders
Won’t ask for correction

My systems will shut down
From thought to the vasoactive
One by one they’ll go
Strained as if by a sieve

My body will stop
My heart won’t tick
My brain’ll be still
My tongue won’t lick

I will lie
Forever to rest
When I receive
That final hest
