Brian's Story

INTRO

A friend of mine went off and joined the Navy. Not only did I promise to write to him, but I also decided that I would write him a story, sending a small bit with each letter I wrote. I am writing this piece with the help of friends, and before I sit down to write, I ask my friends for input on what should be in the story.
The first part I asked them for several words, "Mad-Libs" style, and then tried to incorporate all those words in the segment. The second and third segments are each based off of one or two ideas my friends said I should incorporate, for instance, my sister suggested someone should be a clock collector. In most cases, my friends had not read what was already written, so their suggestions were not influenced by what came before.
I hope to get back to writing this soon, but I keep putting off the next segment because I find it difficult. I know, that's no excuse, and Brian, I'm sorry the story is taking so long...
