How does your garden grow?

Sunday Scraps

I have finally gotten back to writing my blog, and realized I have 18 scraps of blog posts. I feel a twinge of guilt every time I see them, and it is difficult to write new things knowing I left so much lingering, unfinished. So I have created a tag “Sunday Scraps” to get these out of the shadows, and into the internet light. I will add my thoughts about the post/ why I was going to write it.

Originally started in late September 2022, this blog post was a remembrance of Emma, who passed in March of that year. The intent was to tell the story of Emma in our lives, and how she always supervised me in the mornings, encouraging me to get out and weed and garden. She is missed.

Oh, hi.

In 2014 a little orange and white tabby walked into our lives. A little thin, she was the friendliest kitty, who decided we were hers. She even tried to follow us into the house. She charmed us with a ‘murr’ and a loving personality. We caved and fed her. Needless to say, after a month of “found cat” posters, and Gainesville Pet Finder posts, we found ourselves a three cat household.

She was our outdoor kitty for about six months – staying in our garage overnight and roaming our yard during the day. She would sit in the gap in the fence and watch while Toby mowed the lawn. She would follow us on walks, chirruping, cutting in front of us, trying to herd us back home.
